A huge chunk of adult Filipinos in the Philippines is hesitant to take the vaccine against the coronavirus. As revealed in the survey conducted by Octa Research Group from January 26 to February 1, 2021, 46 percent answered ‘I will not have myself vaccinated’.
The survey also revealed that 19 percent of the respondents said they would have themselves vaccinated, while 35 percent said ‘they can’t’.
The survey was conducted on face-to-face interviews with 1,200 Filipinos aged 18 and above. It has a 95 percent confidence level with a ±3 percent margin of error.
The survey found the respondents’ top three reasons for refusing to get the vaccine against the virus, it includes:
-Not sure if it is safe (73%)
-Not sure if vaccine is effective (29%)
-A vaccine is not needed to combat Covid-19 (9%)
