Holders of expired tourist visas can stay in UAE until March 31

Good news for holders of UAE tourist and visit visas! 

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GRDFA) has reportedly extended the expired one-month and three-month tourist and visit visa holders in the country until March 31, 2021. 

This news was confirmed by Khaleej Times on Sunday, February 28. Travel agents have also confirmed with them that the validity of Dubai visas they applied for on behalf of their clients has been automatically extended to March 31. Meanwhile, several tourists have also confirmed that their visas have been automatically extended upon checking their status online. 

“The Ministry has the honor to convey the decision of the government of the UAE to extend the validity of the foreigners who came to the UAE on tourist visas and whose visas and entry permits have expired before December 28, 2020. Their visas will now be valid until March 31, 2021, without any charge,” the Indian Embassy confirmed.
