Dubai-based Filipino journalist passes away due to cardiac arrest

Dubai-based Filipino journalist and social media influencer Ed Ibanez passed away due to cardiac arrest, citing posts from his friends on Facebook. 

Ibanez has worked as a journalist in Kabayan Weekly, the first Filipino newspaper in the UAE. He had a column called Branded Pinoy in the weekly newspaper. 

He was also appearing in local press conferences representing various media outfits. 

According to his close friend, Bea Avila, he died due to cardiac arrest.

Ibanez was still able to change his profile photo on his Facebook account yesterday at 4:32 pm.
