Arab woman get over AED247,000 traffic fines, 414 offences for speeding in UAE

An Arab woman was slapped with over AED247,000 fine after committing 414 offences, mostly related to speeding. 

Ajman Police, on their official Twitter account, added that the woman’s car has also been seized. For over three years, the 30-year-old woman committed an average of four violations per week. 

The traffic authority said that she should pay the amount in full. Her car will be sold off in an auction if she failed to pay the full amount. 

Maj. Rashid Hamid bin Hindi, Head of Traffic Investigation and Control Department at the Traffic and Patrols Department of Ajman Police said any motorist found to be exceeding the speed limit by over 80 kilometres per hour would have to pay a fine of AED3,000. 

He urged motorists to obey traffic rules, pay attention to speed limits to maintain safe travel.
