Abu Dhabi has made an update on the travel procedures for vaccinated residents traveling from ‘green’ countries. Starting May 3, 2021, these vaccinated travelers from the list must take a PCR test on arrival and on day 6, without the need to quarantine.
Meanwhile, those vaccinated travelers who don’t belong to the ‘green’ list must take a PCR test on arrival, quarantine for five days, and take another PCR test on the fourth day.
The newly updated guideline covers all vaccinated UAE citizens and residents of Abu Dhabi who have received their second vaccine at least 28 days earlier, which is documented in the vaccine report on Al Hosn mobile app.
Non-vaccinated residents of Abu Dhabi arriving from ‘green’ countries, on the other hand, are required to take a PCR test on arrival without the need to quarantine, including two other PCR tests on days six and 12.
As for non-vaccinated citizens and residents arriving from non-’green’ countries, they are mandated to take a PCR test on arrival, quarantine for 10 days, and take another PCR test on the eighth day.
Below are the countries that belong to the ‘green’ list:
