Malacañang urges OFWs to get vaccinated in their host countries

- Advertisment -

A spokesperson for the Malacañang Palace has urged overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who are currently outside the Philippines to get vaccinated against Covid-19 in their respective host countries.

“Ineengganyo rin natin ang OFW na magpabakuna rin kung nasaan man sila,” Harry Roque, presidential spokesperson, said in a palace briefing.

He also mentioned that the national government is ready to repatriate overseas Filipinos especially in India, where the second surge of Covid-19 infections was reported.

“We ask our OFWs na sumunod sa “mask, hugas, iwas.” Naghahanda na nga po tayo ng mga hakbang para sa repatriation,” he further added.

Roque said that the government is preparing for flight of OFWs in India after the travel ban is lifted by May 14.
