The Philippine government posts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have repeatedly reminded and urged Filipinos in the host country not to go back to the Philippines first if the reason is just for vacation.

The official Facebook page of the Philippine Embassy in Saudi Arabia shared a post from the Philippine Overseas Labor Office and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (POLO-OWWA) mentioning the reasons why it’s difficult to go back home.

Below are the reasons:

1. Fewer flights

2. Fewer flights but always canceled

3. More than 200% plane ticket value compared to its normal value

4. The difficulty of booking a ticket and usually the next available flight is in 2022

5. Travelers spend more time in quarantine facilities and need to spend for swab tests in the Philippines
