“Should any changes be applied in the future, they will be communicated via SEHA’s official channels,” it noted.
Last night, an official-looking circular has made the rounds on social media, suggesting that the price of PCR tests in the capital has been ‘revised’ and increased to AED85, while DPI test remained at AED150.
The fake circular also noted that the cost of PCR tests at some screening centres in Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman has been reduced to AED85.
This was debunked by SEHA.
According to the UAE Public Prosecution, spreading fake information and rumors online is a crime and punishable under UAE law.
“Whoever deliberately spreads false news, fake information or rumours, or circulates provocative propaganda that would disturb public security or cause alarm among people, or harm the public interest, shall be punished with imprisonment for a period of not less than a year in accordance with Article 198 of the Federal Penal Code,” prosecutors said earlier.
