Philippine Airlines (PAL) canceled June 19, 2021, Riyadh to Manila flights ‘due to a government order restricting operations to and from Riyadh.
“We apologize for the inconvenience, as we had to cancel the flight at very short notice, immediately upon receiving the notice of the restriction,” it announced on its Facebook page.
Those passengers whose flights have been affected by the sudden flight cancellation are urged to do either of the following:
If you are a passenger of these canceled flights, you may opt to:
1. Convert your ticket to a Travel Voucher;
2. Avail of unlimited rebooking (no rebooking fee) until December 31, 2021. If you will be completing your travel in the same booking class by June 30, 2021 (or ticket validity, whichever comes first), there will be no fare difference charge;
3. Refund your ticket without penalties.

Meanwhile, the airline’s repatriation flight is departing Manila at 11:35 pm on June 18 to ferry stranded passengers. Arrival in Riyadh will be at 4:40 am (local time) on June 19.
“This will be followed by another repatriation flight to Manila from Riyadh, departing at 6:10 am local time June 19; arrival in Manila will be at 9:55 pm June 19,” it added,
