Caregiver student Miss Frilla Bada was hailed as Filipino Institute’s first ReINA ng Eskwela. Garnering 94 percent from the pool of judges, Miss Bada stood out among the strong-willed five finalists during the coronation night on Saturday, June 26 at the Manhattan Restaurant, Avenue Hotel Deira, Dubai.
In a pageant-like program, the ReINA ng Eskwela was part of the Filipino Institute’s commemoration of the 123rd proclamation of the Philippine Independence Day with the theme ‘Unity Amidst Pandemic.’
Miss Bada competed against her fellow Filipino Institute students: Miss Gerladin Atienza, Miss Shirley Galaura, Miss Nenita Macalinao, and Miss Kessielyn Dela Cruz.
A set of judges is formed to rank their beauty, confidence, and wittiness. The set included CEO of Smart Hiring Donna Carpio, Unoo’s owner Razzeil Maravilla, Filipino Institute’s newest ambassadress Riza Mae Cruz, Avenue Hotel’s Director of Sales and Marketing Michelle David Menor, and Filipino Institute’s Vice President and CEO Madamme Camille Rimando.
Atienza was hailed as the second runner up, and Dela Cruz as the first runner up. Meanwhile, Dela Cruz took the Best in Sportswear and Best in Talent awards. Atienza was the Best in Long Gown and the Miss Friendship award went to Macalinao.
