A Covid-inflicted Filipino in Abu Dhabi, instead of sulking for getting the virus, is using his platform to spread ‘positive vibes’ on Facebook and TikTok.
Jorge Maningding, a caregiver in the capital, said that he recently tested positive for Covid-19 and is being isolated and retested. He, however, does not have any symptoms.
According to him, the only reason why he is making funny and lively videos is to kill time and boredom while making his followers happy.
“Be positive kahit Covid positive! Laban lang ta,” Maningding wrote in an Facebook livestream.
“Being Covid-19 positive is not the end of the world. Everyone will get through this. Just trust Him,” he said.
In his Facebook livestream, several of his friends wished him to get well soon.
Others, on the other hand, sent him food and other necessities.
“I would like to thank my friends and family here in UAE for taking the time and effort to make me feel better. The food and thoughts and prayers are really appreciated,” the Filipino caregiver said.
While also in the quarantine facility, Maningding also does the traditional ‘suob’ or steam.
Maningding, even without Covid-19, uses his platform to spread good vibes by creating funny and engaging TikTok videos.
