ICA issues new precautionary measures for visiting customers

The Federal Authority For Identity and Citizenship (ICA) in the UAE has recently issued a new set of precautionary measures for customers and visitors in their offices.

In a Twitter post, it announced that starting on Sunday, August 1, with the exception of the ICA employees, it will be prohibited for certain customers, visitors, or employees of outsourcing or service companies to enter ICA’s headquarters.

This new rule excludes the following cases:

> The customer or visitor who received two doses of the approved Covid-19 vaccines in the UAE, or who has a negative result for the PCR nasal swab valid for 48 hours from receiving the result.

> Unvaccinated persons who obtained an exception from the competent health authorities, provided that they had a negative result of the PCR test, valid for a period of not exceeding 48 hours from receiving the result.

> Those under the age of 16 years old are excluded from the application of this circular provision.
