Almost 500 Filipinos in Dubai and the Northern Emirates registered as overseas voters on Monday, October 11.
The figure was posted by Consul General Paul Raymund Cortes on his personal Twitter account.
“Registration is until 14 October only and as expected, many of our kababayans are now making time to rush. I emphasize over and over how important it is for our migrant community to make their voices heard,” he wrote.
“3 more days to go before you lose your chance to be a part of the May 2022 electoral process. Please convince your other friends to register as overseas voters,” he added.
