Wearing a mask in Saudi Arabia for fully vaccinated people is no longer mandatory outdoors

- Advertisment -

Based on the report of Reuters, starting October 17, Saudi Arabia will lift Covid-19 prevention measures in response to a vast decreased in daily infections and the continued development of a vaccination program, the interior ministry said on October 15.

In line with this, the government will allow the total capacity to attend two Mosques in Mecca and Medina, given the person has taken the full dosage of the Covid-19 vaccine. Thus, cancellation of curbs for fully vaccinated people in gatherings, restaurants, and transportation are applied.

In addition, the ministry added that masks are no longer mandatory in open spaces but remain required in closed areas.
