Facebook plans to change its name next week

The Verge reported on Tuesday that Facebook Incorporated is planning to rebrand the social media platform by next week. Mark Zuckerberg, the founder, and CEO of Facebook is expected to talk about the new name during the company’s annual Connect conference on October 28.

Currently, no name has been announced but will be revealed soon. Moreover, the company has no statement about the news about changing the brand.

The report noted that the rebranding of Facebook’s social media app would likely make it one of many products under a parent company, which would oversee systems like Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus, etc.
