New smart cameras in Ras Al Khaimah can detect expired vehicle licenses

-

Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Police have installed several smart cameras to detect vehicles with expired registration and insurance documents.

On November 7, a new tracking system would be activated to look for license plate numbers, and vehicles with a license that expired 40 days prior will be struck with AED500 and four black points.

The cameras are placed across the emirate and have a 95 percent high accuracy rate. On the other hand, police also called on motorists to settle any pending fines.
