“Saksi” reports that the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and migrant groups are drafting policies regarding humane recruitment of overseas workers.
The project is under the National Plan to Mainstream Fair and Ethical Recruitment of overseas Filipino workers or OFWs.

It sets the policies that would level with global standards in processing Filipino workers overseas as to decrease the number of illegal recruiters and fast track the facilitation of complaints raised by the OFWs.
Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) said that there are OFWs experiencing abuse by their employers even during the pandemic time. There are 140 complaints and 25,000 OFWs who sought legal assistance.
