According to a report of ABS-CBN News, the viral drag queen is a Filipina- Canadian Kyne Santos, a graduate of math in Ontario’s University of Waterloo. In the 60-second videos of Santos he explains complex math problems in the simplest terms.
“Most of my audience are not math students or math majors. They’re regular people. My message is that math can be interesting and math can be fun,” Kyne notes.
Kyne’s topics are inspired by what he learnt in school, novels, and popular culture. He also takes the time to tackle arithmetic difficulties that his followers send him. The drag queen may be good at math, but preparing for each session takes a long time.
“I make little scripts and then I put on my makeup which usually takes like two to three hours; and then I try to do a couple of videos at once because I can’t just turn on the cameras and start doing the videos,” Kyne says.
