New Dubai road reduces travel time from 20 minutes to 7 minutes

Once the Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Roads Improvement Corridor project is completed, commute times for commuters will be reduced from 20 to 7 minutes.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) had completed 50% of the work at Ras Al Khor Road. It will be widened from three to four lanes in each direction as part of this project. Approximately it will increase the road capacity to 10,000 vehicles per hour.

The project also includes the construction of a second 115-meter bridge to serve traffic traveling from Nadd Al Hamar to Ras Al Khor Road in the direction of the Dubai-Al Ain Road.
