Schools in Dubai to close before 12nn on Fridays beginning January 1, 2022

-

Schools in Dubai will be closed before 12pm on Fridays following the announcement of the new weekend in the country for public entities.

Universities, on the other hand, will also follow the new schedule.

Educators have been notified by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) on the adoption of the four-and-a-half workweek with Saturday and Sunday as the weekend, and Friday as half-day.

With this, private schools in the emirate will start the week on Monday. Meanwhile, classes every Friday should not go beyond 12pm.

“The private education sector in Dubai will be open in line with the recent UAE Government decision on the working week. We’ll be working closely with our community to ensure a smooth transition,” KHDA tweeted earlier.
