UAE extends distance learning for schools, universities for another week

-

As UAE continues to see a rise in Covid-19 cases for the past couple of weeks, the Ministry of Education decided to extend the distance learning system for schools and universities for another week.

Through its verified Facebook page, the ministry said that the extension will be from January 17 to January 21.

Meanwhile, all school and university examinations will also be postponed until January 28.

“We emphasize the readiness of the education sector in the state and its proactive measures to deal with emergency situations,” Hazaa Al Mansouri, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, said in a statement.

He added that the pandemic situation is being reviewed to ensure the safety of teachers, students, and administrative staff in educational institutions.
