PAL releases new travel protocols, test requirements for OFWs bound for Philippines


As the Interagency Task Force (IATF) in the Philippines issued revised and updated travel protocols and travel requirements for people entering the country, the Philippine Airlines (PAL) mirrored the announcement for its passengers.

In a press release, the airline said that, with immediate effect, a negative RT-PCR test taken within 48 hours prior departure will be required. 

Since the UAE has been removed from the Philippines’ ‘Green’ list countries, below are the new protocols and travel requirements: 

For Fully Vaccinated Individuals

> Negative RT-PCR test taken within 48 hours prior to departure

> Undergo facility-based quarantine with an RT-PCR test taken on the fifth day with the date of arrival being the first day, once negative result they may be released for completion of home quarantine up t seventh day from the date of arrival. 

For Unvaccinated/Partially Vaccinated Individual

>Negative RT-PCR test taken within 48 hours prior to departure 

> Undergo facility-based quarantine until the release of their negative RT-PCR test taken on the seventh day after which they are enjoined the self-monitor for any symptoms for 14 days with the first day being the date of arrival.
