Residents in the UAE prefer local leaves amid rise in Covid-19 cases

-

More and more residents in the UAE are canceling international travel plans and are choosing local leaves amid the rise in Covid-19 cases.

According to HR recruitment representatives, most employees spend their vacations locally as they avoid taking a long annual break to travel abroad.

They fear that they might get stranded overseas due to constantly-changing travel restrictions.

While some employees exhaust their annual leaves locally, others have still used a good number of annual leaves, as they’re not able to go outside the country during the past two years due to the pandemic.

“Employees are now rethinking their leave plans to avoid being stranded,” Mayank Patel, country head of Adecco Middle East, was quoted as saying by The Filipino Times.
