Two OFWs present fake quarantine certificates to skip isolation

Two more overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) have skipped the quarantine protocols after presenting fake quarantine certificates.

The unnamed OFWs are now facing charges for violating the quarantine protocols for returning Filipinos.

According to Dr. Robert Salvador, the Bureau of Quarantine Deputy Director, they have already filed charges against the two OFWs for breaking the quarantine protocols, including Gwyneth Chua, who infected about 15 people after skipping isolation during the holidays.

“Nagbreak ng protocol at nandaya ng quarantine certificate,” he said.

There is also a slight decrease in the number of OFWs getting positive for Covid-19–from a high of 400 Covid positive in December to 250 Covid positive last January 22.
