An Indian woman based in Kuwait who has been purchasing Big Ticket for more than two years has finally won the prize money worth AED250,000 at the recent draw, making her the first woman to pocket the weekly cash prize.
Savith Nair, a staff nurse from Kerala, said she was surprised to receive an unexpected call, thinking she’d won the AED2,500 prize.
“I was delighted when the host said I had won this week’s Dh250,000 prize money,” she was quoted as saying by Khaleej Times.
The Indian expat purchased her winning ticket a day before the draw.
“I have no immediate plans on how to spend the money. I wasn’t even aware about the weekly cash prize draw. I didn’t expect to win anything before the Big Ticket live draw on February ,” he added.
The grand winner who will take home the AED22 million will be announced on Thursday, February 3.
