VP Leni’s political jingle tops iTunes, Spotify Philippines

-

On a very rare occasion, a political jingle is breaking records on streaming and media platforms in the Philippines.

Netizens on Twitter shared screenshots of their iTunes and Spotify playlist, showing presidential aspirant Leni Robredo’s political jingle making waves on the platform.

Former presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda, on his Twitter account, shared: “Have you ever heard of a political jingle becoming the number 1 song in a country? Well, Kay Leni Tayo just did that!”

Meanwhile, Twitter user @Cassti_Stan shared her Spotify account as well, claiming that the same music, which was produced by Nica del Rosario, Jeli Mateo, and Justine Pena, is the 7th viral song on the platform.

“May fansculub na pala si Madam VP? 7th viral song din sya sa Spotify,” she posted.

The original video was uploaded on YouTube by del Rosario on August 19, 2021, which has now nearly 300,000 views.
