Step-by-step guide for contract verification at POLO Dubai

-

A verified contract is a prerequisite for the issuance of an overseas employment contract (OEC).

A returning overseas Filipino worker (OFW) is required to present an OEC. It serves as an exit pass for OFWs at the airport, exempting them from paying travel tax and airport terminal fee once presented to the airline counter and airport terminal fee counter.

The OEC represents that a worker is covered by government protection, benefits, and assistance.

The Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) verifies the employment contract or documents of workers who are not previously registered with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA)—workers with no existing record of deployment with POEA, specifically those initially on a visit or tourist visa and converted to employment visa.

The first step would be to schedule an appointment with POLO. Click here to schedule an appointment. A representative can transact to process contract verification; however, a sworn statement should be prepared and submitted at the POEA.

The processing fee is AED40 and the processing period is only one day.

Submission of documents at the POLO Dubai is from Monday to Thursday, from 8:30am to 1:30pm; and 7:30am to 11:30am during Fridays.
