International Fashion Week Dubai makes history

International Fashion Week Dubai; the biggest fashion week of Dubai started with the exclusive opening gala dinner graced with the presence of prestigious royal families from various countries such as H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, H.R.H Sheikha Jawaher Khalifa Al Khalifa and Mr Yaqoob Al Ali. The Opulence Events & International Fashion Council presented IFWD Season 13 which was held from 17 to 20 March 2022 at The Arjaan Rotana Hotel Dubai, Fall/Winter 2022 featured regional and international designers, in partnership with Galeries Lafayette Paris, IRIS luxury lounge, Mongolia Tourism, Roku, Fashion TV, Amazon Fire Tv USA, Fashion Icon TV, Khaleej Times, and many more. The 4-day grand event saw a plethora of fashionistas and influencers come together to celebrate the Fall/Winter 2022 collection in person at IFWD S13. 

The event recently achieved a landmark feat with the introduction of NFTs, with further plans to enter into eCommerce following the event’s first b2b session which was attended by buyers, investors and brands of IFWDS13. The fashion industry continues to evolve as brands create pieces to meet the needs of their customers. IFWD has stood out as one of the platforms to help fashion designers showcase their craft. The 2022 edition was even more spectacular, with organisers bringing the fast-emerging Metaverse into the fray by introducing NFTs.

Galeries Lafayette Paris, the event’s prominent sponsor, has partnered with IFWD for two seasons in Dubai, which will also move to International Fashion Week Paris during IFWP in September 2022. Wasim Mandil president of International Fashion Council graced the event with his charming personality by entertaining the audience alongside Cheryle Dias.

Director of IFWD Sheikh Yusuf ensured that all aspects of the event were managed to perfection. He was delighted to see the huge success of the event starting from gala dinner till after party.

The designer collections at IFWD includes:

A famous celebrity designer from Lebanon, Walid Ataullah, opened the season with dramatic attention to his handcrafted embroideries that embodied the brand. Bridal and Evening gowns were the most featured silhouettes on the runway. 

Juan Gerardo De Lascurain Gossler, from Mexico, brought his ready-to-wear collection of handcrafted jackets and shirts. 

Khaleej Times presented a beautiful conceptualized show where the models wore Khaleej Times staches while holding the magazines and newspaper.

Polish designer La Vitta Pre Te by Marxena had a fantastic fall/ winter collection where she mesmerized the audience while the beautiful models rocked with the show. She thanked IFWD for the wonderful opportunity of participation. 

Galla Maison by Nicoletta Gall from Romania presented haute couture collection at her show. The elegant collection stunned the ramp of IFWD. 

Hanayen, Emirati Abaya designer, presented his very creative and innovative abaya collection with a very exclusive style of the UAE. His collection changed the ingenious idea of abayas. 

Huzior Galleria by Iwona Huzior Poland opened the Show of IFWD day 3. Her luxurious formal wear is stitched with extra care. The brand’s mission is to provide impressions and great emotions by surrounding people with the highest quality materials and forms prepared each time at the individual customer’s request. 

Butterfly Couture by Rashida Yamani from India presented the FW22  that aimed at women’s elegance. Her high sense to raise women is the most elegant way by her innovative ideas and creations. Her collection represented the charisma of women’s beauty as seen in the collection.

Marlu presented their formal wear for women with high-class silk materials at the show. Marlu is a unique brand created by women for women. MARLU brand means an exclusive women’s fashion, the leitmotif of which is minimalism and classic elegance, broken with a note of nonchalance. 

The Finale Polish designer Noza Nova by Paulina Łęcka Poland, showcased her SS22 collection presenting the most innovative couture gowns, which is every woman’s dream; she worked in detailed work on her display, which dazzled everyone’s heart. It was a celebration of the ramp of International Fashion Week Dubai Season 13, the flair of her designer took away the hearts of every person sitting in her show. 

IFWD launched Uzbekistan designers for the first time during Season 13, Sawkele Boutique Atelye, Ideal, Indifri Couture. Outstanding ethnic wear from Uzbekistan to present their traditional clothing of the country. 

Another beautiful brand FUSSÉT. Another brand during the show Amstone Amber is located on the shore of Gdansk Bay. Being so close to the world centre of the amber industry guarantees the quality of our products. Brand has been launched in year 2000. Undress Code was made for Dreamers, also available in Galeries Lafayette Paris. Warsaw-based lingerie & bodysuits brand for the coolest Women around the world.

International Fashion and Excellence Awards were also presented to the 20 most influential designers during the event. The event came to a climax at a grand after-after party event organized with the collaboration with IRIS Luxury Lounge. International Fashion Week Dubai Season 13 was an extraordinary show and proved to be the best and the Biggest Fashion Week in the world.

Cheryle Dias has made this show the ideal example in the world of fashion weeks, with her professionalism and excellent organisation skills, which can be seen through the event’s success.
