Under scorching heat, a Dubai-based Filipino entrepreneur distributed bottled water to voters queuing at the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai.
Marge Gomez, a businesswoman, said that she noticed that many Filipinos were queuing at the precinct and thought to give them bottled water and dates.
With no shade to protect themselves from the heat, voters are patiently waiting in line.
“Pumunta pa ako sa mall at binalikan sila. Kasi sobrang init grabe,” she told The Global Filipino Magazine.
Today, April 10, 2022, the overseas absentee voting has kicked off at the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
