Ahead of the Philippine Independence Day celebrations on June 11, 2022, at the Sheikh Saeed Hall 1, Dubai World Trade Centre, talented Filipinos are called to register and join the one-day festivity to showcase the beauty and talent of Filipinos.
Happening from 9am to 7pm, the June 11 event will be organized by Filipino Social Club, an organization licensed under the Community Development Authority in Dubai.
Below are the activities that Filipinos in the emirate may partake in:
> The Search for Mutya ng Kalayaan 2022
Honoring Filipino Women for their beauty, personality, and intelligence, along with personal achievement and community involvement.
> Tour of the Region
A video presentation showing the beautiful spots of the particular region that will encourage fellow Filipinos and non-Filipinos to visit the various places in the Philippines.
> Ang Talentading Pinoy: Individual & Family Edition
Share/showcase of talents
> Race to the Healthies Profession
It aims to gather Filipinos from various fields/profession to compete on physical and mental activities to be named asthe Healthiest Profession
> Palarong Pinoy ‘Corporate March’
Remember the games of Filipino heritage through competition of companies with Filipino workers. At least one non-Filipino player is a must for every team
> Recycled Clothing Competition-Fashion Show
A competition of elementary-level demonstrating the importance of adopting the principle of 4Rs and develop the students creativity to convert recyclable materials into wearable clothing
> Healthy Food Art Competition
Team of students and teachers to compete on creating food art and using fruits and/or vegetables
> Tagisan ng Talino
Quiz show to be participated by students from secondary level
> Balagtasan
A battle of both the sharpness of the mind and artistic expression of the poet-debaters at University level
One of the highlights of the event is the awarding of The Gawad Pinoy Award which has four categories: The Outstanding Family of the Year, Ulirang Kasambahay, Top 10 Teachers of the Year, and Ang Magiting na Pinoy.
