OFWs returning to same employer and with OEC no need contract verification, POLO Dubai clarifies

The Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) Dubai has reiterated that those OFWs returning to the same employer and who have already acquired an overseas employment certificate (OEC) are no longer required to have their employment contract verified.

“Returning workers who were able to secure an OEC exemption will see to it that their employment contract. whether POL O-verified or not, are always with them and readily available for evaluation by relevant government agencies if the need for it arises,” an advisory sent to The Global Filipino Magazine by a top POLO Dubai official noted.

Contract Verification is only for a first-time worker in UAE (for example from tourist or from other country) and change employer and/or change the name of employer.

Verification for employment contract costs AED40.
