As commodity prices soar to the highest level in the Philippines, a couple has decided to tie the knot solemnly and spend around P3,000 only on a civil wedding.
In a now-viral Facebook post, Criz Lazarte shared she and her husband were able to exchange their vows with a small amount of money only.
The bride provided on her Facebook account the breakdown of their expenses:
> Cenomar worth P420 (P210 each)
> Second-hand civil wedding casual dress is P200
> Second-hand polo for the groom is P100
> Fake rings are worth P50
> Snacks including puto, bihon, slice bread, bilao, putchenta, cassava, and halo-halo worth P2,000
Criz said that they did no longer rent a reception because the guests were served the food inside the mayor’s office where the ceremonies were also held.
