Dubai-based businessman shares secrets to success: Focus on your goal, get up when you fail

-

To be an entrepreneur takes courage, determination, and a lot of sacrifices. Mr. Gabriel John Rimando, a Dubai-based multi-business owner, believes in this. The OFW turned businessman has ventured into unchartered territories of business in 2014 when he conceptualized the leading academic institution for Filipinos in the Middle East, the Filipino Institute.

To date, the Filipino Institute has already produced more than 200,000 graduates from its branches in Dubai, Sharjah, Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, and remote branches in Bahrain and Qatar.

Mr. Rimando is also the publisher of The Global Filipino Magazine, Dubai Vibes Magazine, and Foodtrip Magazine, all exist in the UAE.

The Filipino entrepreneur spearheads a home healthcare centre in Dubai, Caredant, which aims to provide quality healthcare services in the region. Mr. Rimando is also the owner of three restaurants in Dubai: Kusina Natin ‘To (Satwa), Shokudo Restaurant, and the soon-to-open Kusina Natin ‘To (Deira); and two Bulgogi Grille Korean Restaurants in the Philippines.
Even after his accomplishments, he inevitably returns to where he started.

As an entrepreneur, Mr. Rimando owes much to his experiences. His journey has shaped him into the person he is today. Achieving these successes has not always been easy; he has encountered failure, sacrifice, risks, and obstacles. Despite those who doubt his ability to succeed, he has achieved everything he has set out to do. Ultimately, his determination and self-confidence helped him achieve his goals.
Throughout his life, Mr. Rimando has never hesitated to share his story with everyone because he has always believed that a bright future awaits us in every challenge.

A triumphant start to a new life of fulfillment and success.

He believes that there are five important secrets of success, and they are as follows:

  1. Never stop dreaming; visualize your future

It is always free to dream; you can aspire as much as you can and sky the limits. But make sure that it will not end on dreaming, wake up and take action to achieve it.

  1. Learn to befriend yourself

Always remember that at the end of the day, the only person you can lean on and trust is yourself. Learn and discover more about your strengths and recognize your weaknesses.

  1. Trust the process
Life is not always a paradise; struggles will always be part of it. If ever you feel like quitting, you need to rest for a moment to regain energy after it and continue chasing.
  2. Take a positive approach to challenges
In a world full of negativity, it is a must to take every obstacle into its light. It will always tell us something that can make us better, bolder, and wiser.
  3. Never seek vengeance; instead, learn to forgive and forget
The main secret to a happy and fulfilled life is to take no one in revenge. For those people who hurt and cause you pain, forgive them and forget it.
