There are only a few Filipino restaurants in Dubai that really gives that Philippine feeling and flavor that Filipinos missed back home. One of these restaurants is the ‘Kusina Natin ‘To’ restaurant in Satwa.
The restaurant, which is solely owned by the multi-company owner Mr. Gabriel John Rimando, has been making a buzz online.
Netizens are leaving positive comments about their food, especially the all-time Filipino favorite viand ‘Kare-Kare’.
On the Facebook group FOOD TRIP UAE, Facebook user and Dubai-based OFW Anna Reyzell Lundang-Santillan gave the dish a perfect 10.
“10/10 must try! parang nasa pinas ka lalo na yung alamang nila,” she wrote.
The popular dish in the Philippines is made with a rich and thick peanut sauce that customers love. Filipinos (even non-Filipino diners!) love the distinct flavor which comes from the combination of roasted peanuts and its earthly, slightly sweet, rich, yet mild-tasting.
Anna has also given the restaurant’s Lumpia a 9/10 for its big servings, and a 9/10 rating for its tender and savory back ribs, which is a ‘must try too.’

A new ‘Kusina Natin ‘To’ branch will be opened at the Centurion Star Tower, Port Saeed, Dubai soon.
