Filipino Institute’s Founder and President Mr. Gabriel John Rimando has been nominated as one of the recipients of the first Dakilang Pinoy Awards in Abu Dhabi.
The innovator and entrepreneur in the UAE expressed that he is very much honored to be selected as the first recipient of the award, which is given to exemplary Filipinos in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the western region who have major contributions to the Filipino community.
According to organizers, the award is bestowed on those who give play pivotal roles in nation-building, humanity, solidarity, and patriotism, among others.
Mr. Rimando, through Filipino Institute, has already produced more than 200,000 graduates inn the Middle East, specifically in UAE, Bahrain, and Qatar where the business is present.
He has recently opened the Philippine branch to further help Filipinos who want to avail themselves of affordable and quality education through short-term and professional diploma programs.
In 2021, the leading academic centre has also introduced its K-12 program to help OFW families enroll their kids at affordable rates.
His vision is to help more Filipinos in the Middle East who want to excel professionally and personally through various programs.
For Mr. Rimando, a Dakilang Pinoy has selflessly offered his or her time, skills, and/or resources, in a collective or personal capacity, to engage in such community services or activities that are beneficial to the people.
