The Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU)-Batangas celebrated its 56th founding anniversary with the theme “LPU-B@56: Bolstering Industry-Driven World Class Education” last March 22, 2023. As part of the event, the university recognized its industry partners who have shown outstanding support for their academic programs.
One of the awardees this year was the Filipino Institute, which has been an unwavering supporter of LPU-Batangas throughout the years. The event served as a venue to extend the university’s gratitude for Filipino Institute’s partnership in providing quality education for working professionals who were not able to finish college or did not have the opportunity to pursue higher education.

This award is a testament to our commitment to provide access to quality education for Filipinos around the world. We believe that education is a powerful tool that can help uplift lives and create opportunities for individuals and their families. We are proud to be a partner of LPU-Batangas in providing the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program for OFWs in the Middle East, and we will continue to work together to make education accessible to all,” Mr. Gabriel John Rimando, CEO and Founder of Filipino Institute, said.
Through LPU Batangas, Filipino Institute offers the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in the Middle East. This program allows working professionals to earn a bachelor’s degree without having to go through traditional schooling methods.
The recognition of Filipino Institute during the Industry-Academe Partnership Recognition 2023 highlights the importance of collaboration between the academic sector and industry partners in providing relevant and quality education to students. LPU-Batangas hopes that this partnership will continue to thrive and benefit more students in the future.
